Shayne Elliott
CEO & Executive Director
Shayne has over 30 years' experience in banking in Australia and overseas, in all aspects of the industry. Shayne joined ANZ as CEO Institutional in June 2009, and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2012.
Prior to joining ANZ, Shayne held senior executive roles at EFG Hermes, the largest investment bank in the Middle East, which included Chief Operating Officer. He started his career with Citibank New Zealand and worked with Citibank/Citigroup for 20 years, holding various senior positions across the UK, USA, Egypt, Australia and Hong Kong.
Shayne is a Director of the Financial Markets Foundation for Children and a member of the Australian Banking Association, the Business Council of Australia and the Australian Customs Advisory Board.

Paul O'Sullivan

Paul has experience in the telecommunications and oil and gas sectors, both in Australia and overseas. He has held senior executive roles with Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) and was previously the CEO of Optus. He has also held management roles with the Colonial Group and the Royal Dutch Shell Group in Canada, the Middle East, Australia and United Kingdom.

Farhan Faruqui

Farhan was appointed Chief Financial Officer in October 2021.
Farhan is responsible for all aspects of Finance including Treasury, Investor Relations and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Prior to this role, Farhan was the Group Executive of ANZ's International business, representing Institutional customers across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and America.
Farhan joined ANZ in 2014. Previously, he was the Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for Asia Pacific, Citigroup. During his 23-year career with Citigroup, Farhan held senior management roles in franchise building, product and customer coverage across Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa, including Head of Global Loans & Leveraged Finance, Asia Pacific, and Corporate Banking Head, Central Europe.
Farhan is an experienced international banker, product specialist and an accomplished people leader across multiple geographies.
Farhan has a Bachelor of Science Degree - Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Ms Atlas brings a strong financial services background and legal experience to the Board. She is Chairman of The Bell Shakespeare Company Limited and a director of Coca-Cola Amatil Limited, Westfield Corporation Limited and Treasury Corporation of New South Wales.
Ms Atlas' last executive role was Group Executive, People, at Westpac, where she was responsible for human resources, corporate affairs and sustainability. Prior to that, she was Westpac's Group Secretary and General Counsel. Before her 10 years at Westpac, Ms Atlas was a partner in law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons). In addition to her practice in corporate law, she held a number of management roles in the firm including Executive Partner, People and Information, and Managing Partner.
